Ultimate 787 - SP4 Released

Greetings 787 Drivers!

We do hope this message finds you and your families doing well, as the world slowly escapes the grips of this pandemic.

We hope in some small way that our products may have provided some sort of escape during these difficult times. We can attest that at times, it has helped us to escape through the development process.

Over the past few months, we have spent a lot of time putting together one of the most important service packs for the product and are proud to announce that Service Pack 4 (Version 1.4.0) is now available.

For each Service Pack, we try to bring something new to the 787. The EFB is such a key feature on the 787, and we’ve added two new features that you’re sure to love.

The New EFB Route Entry, allows you to copy and paste coded text routes obtained from websites like Flightaware, Navigraph and RouteFinder directly into the Electronic FlightBag. The EFB will interpret the coded routing and create a flightplan that can then be uplinked to the Flight Management System.

Also new for EFB is the Enroute Map feature. You can now see you can a top down view in relation to where you are flying in the world, after you've loaded a flightplan. The map will show cities and important landmarks as you fly along.

The New additions to the EFB are not the only reason that we are so excited about this Service pack. There have been a few very important updates to the Autoflight System. Improvements to LNAV fix the issue with early turning. VNAV PATH descent logic has also been vastly improved. FLCH and VNAV Speed logic has also been greatly improved. Additionally, the Autothrottle speed control has been improved.

How to update?

Complete reinstallation

All full installers on our website have been updated to the latest version. You can log into the Flight1 Agent and get the Service Pack 4 Full Installer in the Library. Alternatively you can download the latest installer from here.

Files on the Flight1 product pages and vendors will get updated within 72 hours.

If you decide to perform a full reinstallation, please first uninstall all liveries and then uninstall the 787. Then run the new installer as administrator.

We recommend running the installer as administrator (right click - run as administrator).

An updated installer for P3Dv5 will come soon for the Ultimate 146. For the 757 Collection we're currently evaluating this possibility.
