Greetings 787 Drivers! We do hope this message finds you and
your families doing well, as the world slowly escapes the grips of this
pandemic. We hope in some small way that our
products may have provided some sort of escape during these difficult times. We
can attest that at times, it has helped us to escape through the development process.
Over the past few months, we have spent a
lot of time putting together one of the most important service packs for the
product and are proud to announce that Service Pack 4 (Version 1.4.0) is now
available. For each Service Pack, we try to bring something
new to the 787. The EFB is such a key feature on the 787, and we’ve added two
new features that you’re sure to love. The New EFB Route Entry, allows you to
copy and paste coded text routes obtained from websites like Flightaware,
Navigraph and RouteFinder directly into the Electronic FlightBag. The EFB will
interpret the coded routing and create a flightplan that can then be uplinked
to the Flight Management System.
Also new for EFB is the Enroute Map feature. You can now see you can a top down view in relation to where you are flying in the world, after you've loaded a flightplan. The map will show cities and important landmarks as you fly along.

only reason that we are so excited about this Service pack. There have been a
few very important updates to the Autoflight System. Improvements to LNAV fix
the issue with early turning. VNAV PATH descent logic has also been vastly
improved. FLCH and VNAV Speed logic has also been greatly improved.
Additionally, the Autothrottle speed control has been improved. See the full changelog for a list of all
of the changes in this Service Pack. How to update? Complete reinstallation All full installers on our website have
been updated to the latest version. You can log into the Flight1 Agent and get
the Service Pack 4 Full Installer in the Library. Alternatively you can
download the latest installer from http://www.qualitywingssim.com/v.2.0.1.8/Service-Packs.php?" rel="nofollow - here . Files on the Flight1 product pages and
vendors will get updated within 72 hours. If you decide to perform a full
reinstallation, please first uninstall all liveries and then uninstall the 787.
Then run the new installer as administrator. We recommend running the installer as
administrator (right click - run as administrator). Changelog Fixes/Improvements

The link to download above has only the Flight1 Wrapper version and not the regular installer, with this Flight1 wrapper I cannot insert my Order No. and Reg/Serial. (There´s no option for that). Thanks Hamilton |

I did, but with the Flight 1 Agent didn´t work. I bought the QW 787 from Simmarket and I tried the option "Convert 3rd Party Purchase to Flight1 Agent", but Simmarket is not available in the menu. As I said above, this update (QW787 1.4), only the Flight1 Wrapper download option was given by QW, not the regular installer (like they did with the last upd 1.31). I´d like to know what QW have against those who buy elsewhere, like Simmarket? If they don't want us to buy there, just leave the option to sell their products ONLY via the Flight1 Wrapper and not harm consumers who paid the SAME PRICE than those that bought via F1.

| You will only get the update from Simmarket when it's available. If you cannot convert another 3rd party purchase to Flight1 you will get a Simmarket email when it's avail, QW has got nothing against those who buy the 787 elsewhere. That's entirely your choice. |

Vendor installers will be updated very soon. You will need to obtain the update through the vendor (which is described on our service packs website). We usually give it about a week or so to see if any immediate hotfix is required before we push out the update to vendor shops. Thanks! Nice to see a new update for the 787! I am looking forward to trying the new EFB features once I have time to do so. But I really wish you would add CPDLC (Hoppie integration) and maybe some basic ACARS functions with the next update. I think especially the 787 would be predestined for adding the function. Since datalink is partly mandatory, being used more and more in real life and the 787 is one of the most modern airliners plus using CPDLC on the big screens would be great, I hope for this feature. |

Hello, I've noticed since the update (Thank you BTW) that that interface to the Aviaworx Remote CDU and EFB are not working. It looks like it "connects" but the EFB is blank and the CDU has a big X over it. Is there something I need to enable? Thank you! Disregard, must have been a hiccup on my end all is working as expected now. Huge thank you to the team, this is really exceptional! I am in the 1.4 787 right now. Followed the advice of uninstalling all liveries and doing fresh install and first impressions are wow... Able to run High-Res without any impact now, everything looks better, new EFB functionality is working great with no performance hit, all my add-ons aviaworx remote CDU/EFB and Opencockpits modules working perfectly. Only thing that isn't working is my AS Wxr wind downloads but I need to check my config files as those settings probably reset. Haven't found any steps back yet, just two steps forward. Thank you QW! |

+1 - it's a pretty poor show to only update those who bought direct from Flight1. The annoying think is when you're re-installing the 1.3 version (after just removing it) the SimMarket installer actually uses the Flight1 Agent!!

My first attempt at loading was with a saved flight. After posting here I tried loading up just an aircraft, and got full screens. Went back to the saved flight and black screens again so the saved flight seems to be a contributor. It appears to be working fine now so please show my ticket as resolved. BTW, I can’t seem to define a brightness control for the video display screens. Can you point them out to me? Best, -Braun |

| I was able to load the route from copying (Ctrl C) the waypoint/route text from Simbrief and pasting it into the scratchpad ( Ctrl V). I just had to add the departure and arrival airports at the start and end of the text remembering to put a space to put a space between the airport ICAO codes. |

Me also, blank displays...I have FSX Gold boxed on Windows 7 x64. Used the Flight1 Purchase Agent to re-install after removing older version from Add-Remove.

If loading a different aircraft, then saving it, re-loading the QW787 gives you black screens again. Where is the Master Brightness knob? EDIT: Found the Master Brightness next to the Storm button and that was it. THANKS Lars. Should default to mid brightness though. When the displays came up blank (or in this case, black), I thought I messed up the install and reinstalled it a second time.

@Ernie / Lars Is it possible to let us know which file and what parameters can be changed by us for the brightness of the landing/taxi/nav/runway turnoff lights? I don't mind doing this fix by myself rather than waiting for a Hotfix to address it. I tried using the Falloff Exponent in the fx files, but this clearly isn't the parameter to change. ------------- Fly089 |

| could you please add Fmc improvements like the RTE 2 page and diversions. And improvements to the pedestal tuning and control panel, like so the buttons are buttons and not just flat textures with clock spots and some more in depth wxr, hf and xpdr pages would be nice. |

Got an issue still with the hold function.....when you click on exit hold it deletes the hold and moves on to the next fix , it should route you back to the holding fix then move to the next fix along the route, this has been reported in the past but is still present. ------------- I7-8700K OC 4.7 GIG..W10 64bit ..GTX1080 |

So I don't know which things are on your update plans for the future but at least to me the product still looks very unfinished  After loading a flight: - all my cockpit lights are off - no settings were saved on my navigation display - VNAV is in ECON speed again after changing it to LRC speed - on VNAV DES page, when click on "FORECAST" and then back on "DES" I'm coming to the POS INIT page (why?) - "DES NOW" on VNAV DES page doesn't work - autopilot after loading session is disconnected - FIX points were not saved Please fix it. It is very annoying to set it all up again after loading a session. ==== EDIT: Waypoints of the ILS Glideslope disappear when not even passing them (still 2-3 miles away from it) I really hoped that you fix those essential things with this update, because you had time enough actually but this is hilarious - still the same bugs like 3 yrs ago

Vnav still very very very faraway from how it is in the reality.. now Vnav Alt exists but so many other mistakes .. I ask myself why you focus so much on cosmetic before fixing the real problem of this aircraft. pretty disapointed..:( and I wa1.4s a huge fun of yours.. ------------- andrea |

just copy from 777 PMDG fma status are the same.. its a shame come on.. wnav path .. i changed the target altitude on mcp and without pushing anything it goes in vnav alt.. and so many other bugs..make yourself a big favour ( commercial wise as well) look for somebody who knows how this aircraft work.. or simply.. copy from 777 PMDG ------------- andrea |

It's a full reinstall I'm afraid , so you will need to uninstall the liveries via the dispatcher first ....there maybe a way to keep them by saving the relevant Aircraft cfg files and copying the livery entries to the new config file, I just did a full fresh reinstall. ------------- I7-8700K OC 4.7 GIG..W10 64bit ..GTX1080 |

There is no need to uninstall your liveries. Before you do anything, make a separate folder for all your custom liveries. It is IMPORTANT to make different folders for each model (-8, -9, -10), otherwise you won't know what livery is for each model. Make a copy of each aircraft.cfg (-8, -9, -10) and place in the new folders. Now MOVE all your custom livery folders to the above new (-8, -9, -10) folders. You can now safely uninstall the older QW787 and install the latest version. Test it out and make sure it is OK. Once your satisfied, MOVE all the custom liveries BACK to the freshly installed QW 787 (-8, -9, -10) folders. DON"T move the saved aircraft.cfg You will now need to copy and paste ALL of the [fltsim.x] entry's from the saved aircraft.cfg to the new aircraft.cfg's towards the bottom of all other text. Is this update for P3DV5? I only see a file in Flight1 as QualityWings_787_v1.4.0_P3Dv4v5.exe. Is this the file do download and install? Any need to remove previous version? Please respond. The QW787 is my favorite plane and I'd hate to mess it up.

| I've been a customer since practically the day the 787 went on sale, and I've seen a lot of improvements, but the VNAV and ALT HOLD issue is still an issue you can't resolve. It is very important that you capture the altitude and that you do not descend even when you move the altitude selector and be able to make VNAV approaches in VNAV mode, not only in IAN mode, since when selecting the missed approach altitude, the VNAV, tries to follow the path of ascent. Please, please, is the most important thing to improve. Very good work, and hopefully very soon it can be purchased for the MSFS2020 |

Greetings Group and especially Devs, I am a real world B777 pilot and am thinking of bidding the B787 at my airline...I have used and become a better pilot because of PMDGs B777...It is amazing at honing procedural proficiency and working on emergency procedures. Id like to know - Does QW787 have study level systems and can I for instance practice engine failures (V1 CUTS) and single engine approaches ALONG with an ECL for non normals for each system, like the PMDG777? I will be happy to pay for your plane if it does. In the past I have used PMDG aircraft along with my training and it has enhanced my training....Id like to continue that with your aircraft. ALSO...I know QW787 isnt out for MSFS just yet...IS there a plan for your company to make it for MSFS? (Its not that important for now as long as I can do everything I need to (especially emergency training...ecl work) with the current version on FSX or P3D. Thx.... |
