Greetings 757 Drivers! We have a couple of very important announcements regarding the Ultimate 757 Collection. We are excited to announce that the Ultimate 757 Collection is now available for Prepar3DV4! (More on that later) It’s taken awhile to get here, but the reasons will become apparent shortly.  Ultimate 757 Switch from eSellerate to Flight1 Some of you may have noticed that the Ultimate 757 showed as “temporarily discontinued” on our website. In an effort to provide a more consistent and reliable experience, QualityWings Simulations has taken the step to move our activation system for the 757 over to the Flight1 E-Commerce system. It’s very easy to forget that Version 1 of this 757 product was released in December of 2009. That’s almost 10 years ago now! But when we released our Ultimate 146, we started our relationship with Flight1. The purchase and installation experiences varied differently between the 757 and all the products that have followed. Over the past year, some of our customers had been experienced a larger than normal amount of difficulties with the installation or re-installation of the 757 product. We do not receive anywhere near the same amount of support inquiries with the 146 and 787 products, so it was time to make the change. The Ultimate 757 Collection for FSX is now available again for $14.95 USD. Existing customers of the Ultimate 757 who purchased the product prior to May 5, 2019 will not lose their product... but those customers will need to create an account at Flight1.com and then convert their product to a Flight1 product. And while we maintain that this version of the 757 is no longer in development, we did manage to make a few improvements that have been also been incorporated into the FSX/Steam versions as well. Let us stress that this product is still considered an Entry-Level version of the 757. It is not the same fidelity of our 787 offering or even the 146 offering, but it is a fun aircraft that many of you have enjoyed over the past few years in FS9 and FSX. A full changelog can be found at the end of this press release.  How to convert your previous purchase? All customers who purchased the Ultimate 757 prior to May 5, 2019 utilized the Add-On manager for product activation. In order to continue using the Ultimate 757, you will need to convert your product to a Flight1 product. This process is free of charge and you will have full access to your purchased product. To convert your product, you will need your original "QW757" Serial Number that was provided to you when you purchased the product. This serial number is in the following format: QW757-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX The QW757 Serial was included in the Order Confirmation e-mail that was sent to you regardless of the webstore that the product was purchased from. If you purchased the boxed product, the Serial number is in the DVD jewel case. IMPORTANT We have received reports from users where a "Startup Error QW757-5" message is being displayed on the EADI. In case you experience this issue, please redownload the installer and install the product again. We have updated all installers (Flight1 Agent, Flight1 Website, QualityWings Website) with a fix for this issue. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience!

YAY! No more Add-on Manager crashing BS! THANK YOU QW Guys. One question. I notice when installing the FSX version, the QW livery fuselage textures say "Prepard3D". I have FSX so... I copied the original textures and naturally "Prepar3D" is now gone. Just wondering if there are any differences between the original QW 757 textures and the 1.4.1 textures. Lars, I installed the FSX version through the Flight1 Agent. My Add/Remove Programs even says FSX version. However, as mentioned above, the QW757 House liveries say "Prepar3D" on the fuselage sides and I looked inside the Model folders and they also have Prepar3D in the .mdl files. The models are not exactly the same as of V1.4.1. Before they were the same, hence we left the P3D reference in the filename to keep compatibility. The included P3D QW House Liveries are an oversight. We might change that in a future update but it shouldn't really be a problem. First of all, thank you for this great bird... Honestly I waited to upgrade p3dv4 just because of this plane... And today I bought it :)... My question is: Are the lua function names same with the old FSX version? It is important for me to use my homemade MCP and Overhead panel. If you have such kind of a list that shows lua codes like your 787, it will be awesome... Thank you very much QualityWings team... |

Hello. I bought this for several years ago for fsx and if I want to use it in p3dv4 I have to buy it all over again? Is that the thanks I get for buying all your stuff. Im suppose to be so greatful that buying the products twice is just fine and dandy. I dont feel it anywhere because my joy are so overwhelming. Im sure I am wrong here, at least everyone in this forum will bash me and take offence, so be it. I speak where others dare not. So I should be just happy to fork over the dough all over again since you replaced a couple of dll files? Dont tell me you had 50 guys spending 6 months to port this over to p3dv4, just dont say that. Im venting over this business mentality with several developers. Do you think im rich? Do you think I s**t money? This is just pure greed, charging existing customers all over again. Do you think I will pay for another product from you? Its captian sim all over again. Good bye. |

U mad? When you bought the 757 for FSX it also came with a FS9 version and Prepar3D wasn't even available. There was nothing in the license about we will support the 757 for each and every new simulator. Don't you think a developer is entitled to make money when they spend their time porting it over to a new simulator? You ranted over $14.95? | Lbs to kgs in the cdu is done by adding WeightsUnit=Kgs to the QW757.cfg file in the FSX/Qualitywings folder. Look at the options.txt file in the same location. It has a whole host of QW757.cfg options |

Sirs: P3Dv4 I have a couple issues with the 757. First, the Autobrake feature is totally non-functional using Autoland. I am forced to shut down the engines on the runway to stop otherwise I will roll at 50 kts into the next county. The regular brakes do not appear to bypass the autobrakes if on. If there's a fix, I would love to know it. I have re-installed the product multiple times without effect.  The Autoland fails to adjust approach altitude...is it supposed to? It seemed to work the first time I tried the feature. Now unless I adjust the alt manually, the Autoland takes me right over the airport without ever adjusting the alt to land. The FMC seems to take on a life of its own by adding VOR waypoints 8000 miles outside my planned flight. I AM selecting the appropriate VOR frequency when entering one with multiple freq options...the FMC seems to make its own selection from the list of possible VOR frequencies despite my selection and usually for one on the other side of the planet. Even if the proper selection displays initially, after Executing the FMC plan, the new distant VOR is saved officially and majorly skews my EFIS display. Finally, I can get none of the liveries to properly update the P3Dv4 aircraft.cfg files therefore I only ever have house liveries available. My selections download and install in your Dispatcher feature. That action though has no effect on the .cfg for the sim and so no display of the repaint livery. Am I missing a step somewhere? I have read the instructions multiple times but I admit I'm getting older. | The 757 works fine in p3dv5. The only issue I have found so far is there is no way to use the retrofit cockpit. It just defaults to the original style cockpit. |

I recently purchased a new HP computer last month with Windows 10 and replaced my 7 year old Windows 7 which I was using FSX disc installations as of month ago. With this new computer, my ancient FSX discs are not compatible in this new system so I bought FSX Steam and downloaded on Windows 10 I was able to down load the Quality Wings 757 and 787. I purchased the 757 in 2011, and the 757 upgrade a few years ago. I purchased the 787 about two years ago. I installed them into FSX Steam and also the liveries, but when I launch FSX, the 757 EADI screens are blank with a small error message. I exited and reopened, but it is still there. Is there a fix for that in Steam? Sincerely, CTF

If you downloaded from the QW website you won't have the license file. If you weren't aware they got rid of the old add-on manager which caused alot of issues for people. You can get a new serial number from Flight1. After, you will need to install the Flight1 agent to download the software. The link below will take you to the Flight1 page. Okay, do you remember where you purchased it from. Some sellers are no longer around. Personally, I would just re-purchase being only $15. As far as your new computer goes, make sure you adjust your firewall settings and file permissions, and run every thing as administrator. In the future you might want to consider P3D v4. Much better performance and most FSX software will install without added costs.

I found the certificate number from my last 757 purchase in 2019, but when I put it in, it said it is invalid. I tried several times, but still stating it is invalid. If I just purchase it again, will it clear up all these issues? ------------- CTF |

You need to update the serial number to the Flight1 number. You shouldn't have to repurchase.

Just one. The link below. If you go to to the support page there should be a menu to update the license. If you download the Flight1 Agent you should see it in your library and do it there. Did you 'view all purchases'? QW products don't display when you first open the Agent library. I changed over to the Flight1 product back in 2019, shows everything. Open the Agent. Upper right hand corner. Change store. Scroll down to the QW store. Press go to store. The QW paqe should load. Click 'Library', upper left top. Your purchase should display all the information.

| What is the error number? I would try uninstalling the 757 and reinstall as administrator. |

I did uninstall and reinstalled as Administrator. The message on the little screen in the cockpit states: "EPR Startup Error!! Unable to start QA757-1." ------------- CTF |

| Did you disable your firewall and anti-virus before installing? If not, I would uninstall, disable the security and reinstall. Sorry without seeing firsthand it makes it difficult to pin it down. |

When FSX starts and before the first menu page small windows will pop-up with a security warning which will ask if you want to run a gauge or DLL before proceeding. If you don't allow it the add-on won't run properly. That QW757-1 is an activation error generally related to license. From the 757 FAQ forum section; '

| Ok, perhaps the Steam version doesn't. I had it years ago but found it to be problematic for me. I do have FSX still and it does it with any add-on with gauges or DLL. Again, according to to the developer, your error is related to an activation issue. I would repost your issue in the 757 forum due to the fact they don't do support here. Perhaps they will comment on it. You might try post in the Steam forum. Or you might want to open a ticket with Flight1; maybe it's a license issue at their end. |

I did everything possible. I have been trying to troubleshoot this, and many other add-on issues with FSX Steam for over a month now with zero results on all of them. I never wanted Steam, but had no choice because FSX would not transfer over from Windows 7 to Windows 10. and my FSX discs would not install on Windows 10. Even though I have been flight simulating for 11 years, all these problems have killed my desire to continue with it. It's most likely over. ------------- CTF |

I don't care for Steam. It's still a 32 bit sim. I have P3d v4 and 5. I have X-Plane 11. I have XP12 but haven't had time to put a dedicated drive in my computer for it, but it looks good. I have MSFS2020. Visuals are fantastic but if you look at Avsim the sim has as many issues as FSX did. X-Plane11 has given me the least amount of headaches. Yes the visuals aren't near MSFS but overall the sim is pretty good. I probably use it 90 percent of the time. Plenty of VA's support it, Vatsim supports it. Navigraph supports it. When I upgraded my computer I copied the entire XP folder and pasted it to a new hard drive. Worked perfectly. If you like the 757 the Vmax is tops.
