    Posted: 06 Jun 2018 at 8:26am
Greetings 787 Drivers!

We have just released a Hotfix for the Ultimate 787 Collection, which brings the current version number to V1.1.1.
We would like to express our thanks to all our customers who provided feedback - good or bad - and thus assisted us greatly in finding solutions.
Of course this hotfix does not address every single reported issue but it takes care of some high priority items that needed to be taken care of quickly.
Now that the dust has settled a bit after the release we have a good idea of where we stand and what needs to be worked on.
We will of course continue to improve the 787 in the next weeks and months. Some key aspects will be a rework of the EFB Dispatch page, improvements to VNAV / LNAV, stability/performance optimization and more.

There are two ways to update your 787.

Option A – update existing installation

For your convenience we have created update installers that will update your current installation to v1.1.1.
Installed liveries need to be reinstalled afterwards. An uninstallation of the liveries prior
to running the update is not required.
In case you have FSFX “787 Immersion” installed, a reinstallation of that product will be required.
All you have to do is to run the update for the Flight Simulator version you have the 787 installed in.
FSX users will need to have Service Pack 1 (v1.1.0) installed already! Otherwise please use option B.

Option B – complete reinstallation

All full installers on the Flight1 product page and on our website have been updated to the latest version.
If you decide to perform a full reinstallation, please first uninstall all liveries and then uninstall the 787. Then run the new installer as administrator.
All installers can also be found on our website at http://www.qualitywingssim.com/installers.html

That's fast and considerable progress, thank you, QW team! I'm happy for the P3D users among us, too.
Looking forward to the upcoming enhanced VNAV submodes as well.

Great turnaround - well done! This is my first QualityWings purchase and I'm impressed. I love flying the 787 in P3Dv4, especially with the Jump Ahead feature Thumbs Up I look to buying your other products when they get upgraded.

Sorry gus but, when are you going to work with RNP? The aircraft still fails to comply with any curve from the route traced. I made an ENGM exit now and the plane went almost to Dallas and came back? I believe in your work, but I would like at least this problem to be solved for a cooler simulation.

Guys,

I appreciate the update (did a clean install), but the VC textures that were already very difficult to read, it is impossible now. You have to make them 4096x4096 plus gauges as well (2048x2048 isn't that good).

I have two pictures:

This one was taken from the day you released the 787. I also had the weather radar working.

This one is from today:

Do you see the difference? Both pictures have the same zoom.

Settings:
GTX 1070
4096 resolution
FXAA off
8xMSAA

There are many possible reasons for ntdll crashes.
The one which is related to the wxr radar has been fixed and confirmed to be fixed by testers and customers who volunteered to assist.

Did you have SP1 installed before you ran the update?

Re 3) In case you are talking about WX+T: No, this is not simulated.

Hello,

since the update to V1.1.1 the 789 has been pulling harsh to the right on takeoff in EGYP ... not so much whilst taxiing
I have checked my axis setting in P3DV4 and the Logitech X-56 manager and its all centered.
yesterday on the previous versions i had a slight pull to the left.. (possible gyro-drift and thrust powering).
I seriously dont know if im actually going to be able to land in YSSY with this.

I hope you can help.

You definitely did not understand

The hotfix got the VC textures even worse than it already was. It is extreme poor quality now.

Love the aircraft and how it performs but 1hr 20mins into a flight from LEMD to EDDF with AS and REX Sky Force running and the WX radar on, I got a CTD.  The hotfix was installed and seemed to be working well.  The error log is below for reference.

Faulting application name: Prepar3D.exe, version: 4.2.21.24048, time stamp: 0x5a7c832c
Faulting module name: ntdll.dll, version: 6.3.9600.18969, time stamp: 0x5aa29ff0

Faulting process ID: 0x4dc
Faulting application start time: 0x01d3fe777552beea
Faulting application path: C:\Program Files\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4\Prepar3D.exe
Faulting module path: C:\Windows\SYSTEM32\ntdll.dll
Report ID: 1abfd5df-6a7f-11e8-83f2-382c4abdc2fe

Maybe some more work is needed. Seems this pesky .dll file doesn't want to play.

I noticed you have the QW links for the FSX and FSX SE v1.1.1 updaters REVERSED on the main page.

Didn't notice this and installed the FSX SE v1.1.1 update to my standard FSX installation.

The installer needed me to point to my FSX install folder, but all indications from the SE updater said everything was updated OK.

Should I be worried?

Was having this problem too. Turned out the fuel was severely imbalanced for some reason. Try using the Dispatcher to balance out the fuel properly, see if this helps you in any way.

Thanks for this, I created the folder for the dump files. Hopefully I can have the same results as you.

Just out of curiousity, what was the program or process that was causing you problems, and what did you do to fix it.  I ask because I'm curious to see if we have similar processes running.  From what I understand the information that this process is supposed to provide should help to pinpoint the problem so that you can take the steps to correct it.

I am now having a ball  with this plane.

I was getting consistent crashes with the update so  I removed v1.1.1 and cleared out the QW folders. Re-installed v1.0.0 then ran the update installer. So far no issues with crashes, EFB dispatcher works fine loading the plane. Vnav needs diligence  to manage descent path/speed and approach setup with and without ProATC or Radar Contact.   For me that is exactly what I want, I have to fly the plane. :) If I want to take off, hit the AP and watch the plane land I would be in my Airbus A320.

After my version changes above I completed 2 of 3 legs (KMDT-KCLE then KCLE-KORD) in real-time with AS 16 weather on. The flights were completed without leaving P3d, in real time and without any jump ahead. I did get a crash on the 3rd leg (KORD-KSLC), however, I am pretty sure I forced the crash by hitting the CDU buttons to fast and killed the keyboard when changing the arrival. I will claim that one as I am pretty confident the flight would have been completed.

This airplane is by far the best value for my hard earned dollars ever. The scope of  features is incredible and I thank the developers for bringing this magnificent plane to P3d.

Bob

Great work on the 787, truly remarkable. 1 question please, are those QWPAS files for the 787 in your QW download page only for FSX or can i use them for P3D also? THanks.
